Got a Call from My Doctor but it wasn't about my Health

Dr. Peter Candelora
Best Surgeon in Florida
Three (3) years ago I had the misfortune of breaking my left Hip bone and Dr. Peter Candelora was my surgeon that got me back on my feet. I call him my "Hip Doctor" because he's a cool guy with cool friends. While I was healing, I was in the middle of writing the Book and Dr. Candelora seemed genuienly interested in it and asked to read it when I published it. Of course, I gave him a few copies but I thought I'd never hear from him regarding it. I assumed he was just being kind and wouldn't read the book
A few weeks later I get a Phone Call from his office to come in and speak to the good Doctor. I was thinking it must be something about my hip, but it wasn't. He wanted me to know that he was truly moved by the book and passed on the extra book to his friend “Mr. Invincible” bettern known as“Vince Papale” of the Philadelphia Eagles.

He then told me he was close friends with Vince Papale of the Philadelphia Eagles NFL Player, who had a movie made about him titled“Invincible.” He had sent a copy of my book to both Vince Papale (#83) and his fellow playmate Dennis Franks (#53). Both of them were kind enough to read or listen to the book and then. In response, them sent me a copy of “their” most inspirational book “The Last Laugh” with the following personal message to me…

As you may know, the truly remarkable story of Vince Papale who in 1974, was working as a bartender and substitute teaching tried out for the Philadelphia Eagles at the “old” age of 28. Not only did he make the team, “Papale was voted Special Teams Captain by his teammates, and was the Eagles "Man of the Year" in 1978 for his charitable contributions”.
So remarkable, the movie “Invincible" was made in 2006 and actor Marak Wahlberg played Papale in a truly inspirational and “long shot” story.
His Frend Dennis Franks was also a remarkable player who unfortunately passed away at the age of 68. Franks is known as an “exuberant Special Team's Captain for the Eagles, longtime businessman, motivational speaker, musician, and author.
INVINCIBLE SOULS

I wish every parent or anyone who lost a loved one, that they should know their child or friend will become invincible in an eternal sort of way. In my book, I spend two chapters discussing the history of “near death experiences” and how they encouraged me to know that this life is just one step to our transformation to become Invincible. I am using a dictionary definition which describes the word “Invincible” as “One who is too powerful to be defeated or overcome.”
I know my sons’ strengths, weaknesses, and his determination to beat what he couldn’t in this life.
After reading many books and accounts of near-death experiences, religious beliefs of the after-life, and watching hours and hours of living testimonies of those who have seen beyond the veil and who came back to encourage grieving parents or those who lost a child, that Michael and others who were defeated by addiction will get another shot at it.

I am now more convinced than ever, that my son is on his next transformational journey to be “invincible” and will learn to beat now what he couldn’t do hear on earth. He was too weakened and mentally and emotionally damaged to rebound during his last years—a condition I describe in the book as reaching that terrible “reaching the point of no return.”

Now, he is free from the brain and emotional damage and is in a new realm to be what he was meant to be. I believe that and any parent or loved one who has lost one to addiction, should consider grasping on to such a concept—not because it’s a pie in the sky idea, but because thousands of people alive today, who have had near death experiences, have conveyed this “good news” to those who like me can take such news to the bank.

It gives me great solace that we will see our deceased when we pass to one who has overcome what he couldn’t here on earth. I imaging my son, upon my passing, will usher me to a better realm where we will again be a family once again—a place where we can continue to grow together. To me, this is a non-fiction Invincilbe belief that I am convinced is true. And, it only makes sense that eternal souls don’t end here with the death of our bodies. Our souls will continually evolve eternally giving all of us everlasting opportunities to become what our Maker intended.

Well, I don't get many celebrities "like VInce Papale, who took the time to read, and then follow-up as they did. Most have been from family and good friends such as these next two unexpectant calls I also unexpectedly received as described below.

My second meaningful call came from My Dear Friend Marc Cruz in St. Louis—who after reading the book (several times), went to his two children (getting ready for college age) and hugged and kissed them when he realized how important they are to him and how dearly he wants them to be prepared for future temptations that leads to addiction. Recently, I saw Marc, who, after giving me a big bear hug told me that “he made his kids Read the Book.”

The third was from my brother Nick, whose adopted son (serious drug and alcohol abuser) after listening to the audio told Nick “I can’t do this to you and Mom” and now is just using Marijuana-- big big drop from Cocaine, Heroin, Opioids, and just about anything you can imagine. He now holds a steady job, is married and has 3 children and continues to impress our family that miracles still happen.

I'd love to hear from anyone who have such stories to include on my website at a future date. Email me at mcmnrm@gmail.com and send me your name and phone number and I'll get right back to you.
