On June 17th, 2017, we lost our son Michael, who, according to the Police Report died of a fentanyl overdose.
However, in truth, his death took place over years of tormenting addictions to alcohol, drugs and almost anything that would divert his attention from whom his additions had transformed him into—someone whom he could not defeat.

Michael asked me to write his life story as a cautionary tale, even though telling his story is something he is not proud of. Yet, he believes his life can have a meaning should his story startle anyone from repeating his decisions.

In addition, I have included other thoughts, memories, and a reminder of how wonderful it was to be around Michael before being introduced to what succumbed him.

Some of these memories describe moments which we did not experience but had hoped we could have shared together with him including his 40th birthday and celebrating Thanksgiving and other days which could have been memories for the ages.
​
I’ve also included some very mysterious messages Michael has sent me and others that I found encouraging giving me assurances he is well, which is all I could ever want.
​
I’ve also created a series of Blog pages of some of the thoughts and beliefs I have come to believe as a result of “Our Journey Together.”
